Maria & Júlia

Hey, we’re happy you’re here! We are Maria and Júlia, the Àdois team, and we are both passionate about photography. Our miraculous encounter happened in the summer of 2022 in Portugal, where we were both frustrated with where we were in life. After finding a special light in each other and discovering how much we had in common, we started creating this beautiful project: Àdois. Traveling, meeting new people, being in the middle of nature, and watching inspiring movies are all things that fill our hearts, and all of this reflects in our work and what we like to create. We hope to meet you soon and tell your story too.

Purpose

Within Àdois, we long to tell love stories in a candid and documentary way. We seek to capture the true emotions of the day through a storytelling approach. The wedding day is a unique day that brings emotions never felt before, so we feel very honored to be a part of it, eternalizing what you and your loved ones experience. We want you to feel comfortable so we can capture you as naturally as possible. By seeing our work, you can perceive that we add a touch of art and fashion to the images, as we aim to portray your story with a cinematic, special perspective.

Júlia and Maria are a very professional team! With them we were able to get the style of photographs we were looking for, the groom a more traditional style and the bride looking for more spontaneity, the combination of both styles was the perfect result for us. In addition, they were both super empathetic and respected our time on the day of the wedding, which is super important since that day already involves a lot of stress and you don’t need your suppliers to add more. So thank you both for your excellent work and for the wonderful people you are!

When we started planning the wedding, we knew we didn't want a typical photography service - we wanted something with personality, a specific image and an artistic eye. When we saw Àdois' portfolio, the decision was pretty much made and with the first meeting, we left with the certainty that it was the perfect match! The team was always very approachable, open and empathetic. They calmed all our worries and were very attentive. Just a week after the wedding, we received the preview (an extended selection of photographs), and... WOW! Expectations were already super high, and they still managed to exceed them! The photos are simply incredible, and perfectly reflect what we asked for. “They look like they're straight out of a VOGUE editorial” - this was the literal feedback from a guest. The wedding day flew by and every time I thought about the photos and video, even though I loved the photos from the pre-wedding session and concluded that I had hired the right professionals, I thought it would be difficult to like the end result - especially when compared to the photos the guests were sending me. However, I couldn't have been more wrong. Maria and Júlia - very friendly, professional, available and really sweet - did an absolutely charming job and captured very special moments and our best facial expressions with elegance and great taste. The photos were bright, cheerful and elegant and it was a real pleasure to be able to share this high-quality work with our family and friends. We liked it so much that, a few months later, we hired Maria and Júlia to do a photo shoot of my pregnancy. Once again, it was magnificent. Finally, I have to add that the videographer for our wedding was Alex, who works with Maria and Júlia. We were free to choose anyone else, but once we got to know Alex's work, we had no doubt that he was the right person. The wedding videos were just as bright and elegant and perfect for sharing and remembering.
